OYOYI · Partnership principles

Responsible Partnerships

Clear Responsibilities. Respect for People. Honest Information.

Lasting partnerships depend on how decisions are made, how information is handled and how people work together. OYOYI aims to bring these considerations into the development and supply chain assignments we undertake.

Principles with clear boundaries

A shared approach. A defined scope for every project.

These principles guide our approach. They do not mean that every supplier has been audited, every material is certified or every project has the same scope.

Our Partnership Principles

Five considerations that guide how we work.
01Confidentiality & creative work

Respect Confidential Information and Creative Work

Designs, technical files, supplier details and commercial information can be essential to a brand’s business. Before sensitive information is shared, the assignment should establish who needs access, why it is needed and what may be passed to other parties.

Existing ownership rights must be respected. Ownership or licensing of newly commissioned work, permission to publish examples and any use beyond the assignment should be agreed separately.

02Roles & relationships

Make Roles and Commercial Relationships Clear

A project may involve OYOYI, TideLine, existing client suppliers or other agreed providers. Proposals should identify who coordinates, manufactures, supplies or carries out specialist work, and disclose relevant relationships with OYOYI.

Service fees, supply quotations, external costs and approval authority should be clear before commitments are made. A recommendation should explain the relevant trade-offs, not imply that one supplier is automatically right for every project.

03People & working conditions

Respect the People Behind the Product

Responsible collaboration includes the people developing, making and handling products. Our partnership principles include respect for human and labor rights, safe working conditions and the rejection of forced labor and child labor.

Clear requirements, realistic scheduling and documented changes also matter. When requirements change, the effects on cost, timing and workload should be discussed rather than left for suppliers or workers to absorb without agreement.

Stating these principles is not evidence that every facility has been assessed. Supplier requirements, access, checks and responses to concerns need to be defined for the work involved.
04Materials & honest claims

Make Claims That Can Be Supported

Material composition, recycled content, certifications and performance claims need supporting information relevant to the selected material or product. A reference image, supplier description or certificate for a different item is not sufficient confirmation.

We encourage discussion of durability, material suitability, packaging and avoidable rework where relevant to the project. These choices involve trade-offs; small orders, AI-assisted development or print-on-demand should not automatically be described as environmentally beneficial.

05AI & human judgment

Use AI with Human Judgment

AI-assisted outputs are working inputs, not proof of a specification, price or production outcome. Technical details and commercial commitments need confirmation by the appropriate people.

The use of client information with external tools should follow the permissions and handling arrangements applicable to the assignment. Sensitive information should not be supplied to a tool simply because the tool is available.

Questions & concerns

Raise Concerns. Clarify the Next Step.

If you have a concern about information handling, supplier conduct, product claims or an OYOYI assignment, contact our team with a brief description and the relevant project reference, where appropriate. Avoid sending unnecessary personal or confidential information in your first message.

A concern may require clarification, supporting records or coordination with another party. The appropriate response depends on the issue, our role and the access available. This contact route is not a promise of independent investigation or a guaranteed outcome.

We intend to refine these principles as our work develops. Any future reporting should distinguish commitments, actions taken, findings and unresolved limitations.
